PREVENTION THEY SAY IS BETTER THAN  CURE. YOU CAN SAVE YOUR SELF A LOT OF PAIN, WORRY AND MONEY BY AVOIDING HEALTH PROBLEMS IN THE FIRST PLACE.


1.       IMMUNIZATION-    IMMUNIZATION HELPS THE IMMUNE SYSTEM RECOGNISE AND QUICKLY ATTACK DISEASES BEFORE THEY CAN CAUSE PROBLEMS. SOME IMMUNIZATIONS ARE GIVEN IN A SINGLE DOSE WHILE OTHERS REQUIRE SEVERAL SHOTS. CHILDHOOD IMMUNIZATIONS PROTECT  CHILDREN AGAINST DISEASES LIKE POLIO, MEASLES, MUMPS, RUBELLA, HEPATITIS B ETC.

2.       KEEP FIT-  FITNESS IS ESSENTIAL TO HEALTH. EVEN MODERATE EXERCISE MAKES A HUGE  DIFFERENCE BOTH IN HOW YOU FEEL AND WHAT ILLNESSES YOU GET. ALONG WITH A  POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND A HEALTHY DIET, YOUR FITNESS LEVEL PLAYS A MAJOR ROLE IN HOW WELL YOU FEEL, THE ILLNESSES YOU AVOID AND HOW MUCH YOU ENJOY LIFE

3.       EAT RIGHT-   EATING A WELL BALANCED LOW-FAT DIET  OF WHOLESOME FOODS WILL KEEP YOU ENERGETIC AND FREE OF MANY SICKNESSES.

4.       CONTROL STRESS-  EVEN WITH A HECTIC AND HURRIED LIFESTYLE,  YOU CAN PREVENT STRESS FROM UNDERMINING  YOUR  HEALTH. UNLESS YOU CAN REGULARLY RELEASE THE TENSION THAT COMES WITH STRESS, IT CAN GREATLY INCREASE YOUR RISKS OF PHYSICAL  AND MENTAL ILLNESSES.

5.       STOP SMOKING-  SMOKERS WHO QUIT  SMOKING GAIN TREMENDOUS HEALTH  BENEFITS. QUITTING SMOKING IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT THINGS YOU CAN DO FOR YOUR OWN HEALTH AND THE HEALTH OF THOSE AROUND YOU.
SMOKING IS A RISK FACTOR FOR MANY HEALTH PROBLEMS INCLUDING HEART DISEASE,   STROKE, AND  CANCER. WHEN YOU STOP SMOKING, IT DOESN’T TAKE LONG FOR YOUR BODY TO START HEALING AND REDUCE YOUR RISK OF HEALTH PROBLEMS.

6.       AVOID DRUG ABUSE AND EXCESSIVE ALCOHOLISM- EXCESSIVE ALCOHOLISM CAUSES LIVER, NERVE, HEART AND BRAIN DAMAGES. IT ALSO CAUSES HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE, STOMACH PROBLEMS, SEXUAL PROBLEMS AND CANCER.
DRUG ABUSE AS A WAY OF GETTING HIGH OR DEALING WITH STRESS AND EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS MAY LEAD TO  ADDICTION WHICH MAY NOT BE EASY TO BREAK BECAUSE YOU HAVE DEVELOPED A PHYSICAL AS WELL AS A PSYCHOLOGICAL NEED FOR THE DRUGS.

7.       ENJOY  HEALTHY PLEASURES-  TAKE NAPS, RELAX DURING MEALS, PLAY WITH THE KIDS, CARE FOR  A PET  ETC. THESE ALL ADDS TO YOUR HEALTH.
